Kilgore Home & Garden Tour FAQs

 

Where does the Tour start?

The tour will start at the garden of your choice. Tickets will be available for sale at all gardens on the days of the Tour with cash, check, or credit card. 

 

When should I start the Tour?

Guests can start anytime during the day, beginning at 10:00 AM.  All homes and gardens will close at 4:00 PM EDT.

 

Where do I park?

Parking is well marked and on-site volunteers will direct to parking locations, which are in close proximity to the gardens.

 

Is photography allowed?

Yes, outside only. Any photos taken of the gardens may not be published without written permission by Kilgore Garden Tour Chairman and the homeowner.

 

Is the Tour handicap accessible?

No.

 

Are pets allowed?

No. Only approved assistance dogs are allowed.

 

Are children allowed?

Yes, but guests are asked to keep children on pathways (out of flowerbeds and other plant areas) and within the defined areas inside the homes which are on display. Guests are cautioned that the terrain in many instances may not be suitable for strollers. Tickets for children are $5.00.

 

Can I use my Tour ticket on Saturday and Sunday?

Yes.

 

Is there a discount for children and senior citizens?

Children are $5.00. There is no senior citizen discount.

 

What is our policy for lost tickets?

Should a physical ticket become lost, a new ticket will need to be purchased. If we can track where or how the original ticket was purchased we will issue a refund the week after the Tour.

 

Can I volunteer for future Tours to help out?

Yes, we would love to have you join us! Please let us know by calling the Kilgore Counseling Center at 502-327-4622.
